BIM

The concept behind a Building Information Model (BIM) is to create a virtual design model prior to starting physical construction. Innovations made with BIM help to foresee problems and challenges before they arise, analyze potential impacts that may require action and identify conflicts with schedules and budgets. By making the construction process more efficient and eliminating as many uncertainties as possible before starting construction, we reduce risk and cost while adding value to the overall project.

X3's BIM capabilities building components such as: space and light properties, geometry, spatial configuration, geographical relations and more. Using these parameters, the architect can produce a practical model that also incorporates construction components like: light fixtures, pipes and pluming, racking, cable trays, structural and all other project specific properties. Once all building and construction components are imported into the virtual model, the BIM team performs clash detection and takes action to resolve any conflicts identified. The use and benefits of creating a BIM goes beyond the design phase of the project and plays a significant role in construction, post construction and even facility management. These techniques are proven through the industry, and in our experience, to aid in timely project completion without ever sacrificing quality.
