Overview:
The Construction Foreman is in charge of completing site work from start to finish. Will manage a team to complete the site scope on time and within budget ensuring the quality of work meets or exceeds X3 and customer standards. Responsible for maintaining a safe work site and that all team members and site visitors follow all safety requirements at all times. Requirements include Journeyman level of expertise in cell site construction. Must be able to read and interpret site drawings and have expert knowledge of California Building Codes and National Electrical Code. Computer skills needed include Outlook, Word, Excel, and Streets and Trips.

Labor activities to include:
All loading of equip/material at warehouse, set up of tools and material on job site per SOW, daily clean up of job site prior to departure, antenna mounting, RF plumbing and Coax installation, platform building, antenna mounting, RF plumbing and Coax installation, Boom or man lift operation, cement pouring, block wall building, electrical installation, power plant installation, tenant room improvements, excavating, trenching, framing, electrical, tower erection, cement pouring, block wall building, equipment integration and testing, supervision of all of the above and assisting all other team members as necessary.

Responsibilities:
- Always act in a safe manor following all safety standards. Report any violations to the Construction Supervisor.
- Perform all work per site drawings, permits and building codes.
- Assist in all Civil and Mechanical duties per site Foreman's instructions
- Dig trenches for power, Telco and RF cable runs.
- Perform daily and final site clean-up.
- Set antennas per assigned azimuth and tilt.
- Run RF cables to antennas.
- Perform all necessary grounding on tower to antennas and RF lines.
- Connectorize RF cables, connect to antennas and perform sweep tests
- Install microwave antennas and necessary cabling, grounding.
- Paint all cabling and antennas per site specifications.
- Ability to write coherent and succinct status/progress reports
- Install and connect GPS antennas.
- Must possess active climbing certificates and assist foreman in leading tower erection and RF/plumbing installation including all climbing.
- Perform site prep for setting piers for platforms, pouring slabs, setting prefab slabs.
- Perform cabinet installation.
- Run conduit in trenches for power, Telco and possible RF.
- Connect power and Telco from utility to cabinets.
- Install and connect ground rings.
- Perform site walks with customer providing pictures, Bill of Materials and site requirements related scope.
- Review site drawings to ensure you have necessary tools, supplies and crew to complete the site scope.
- Ensure work is completed following all safety standards at all times. Conduct brief daily tailgate safety meetings with crew covering relevant topics for the work scheduled for that day.
- Coordinate with the Construction Supervisor on pre-planned site specific issues such as utility and Telco routing, access issues, inventory verification, and permits.
- Check out necessary tools and inventory from warehouse prior to construction start. Responsible for proper use and security of checked out tools and that they are returned to warehouse clean and ready for reuse.
- Ensure work is completed per scope and schedule meeting or exceeding X3 and customer quality standards.
- Complete close out package and turn in next morning after site is complete.
- Keep crew motivated and on task focused on safety and quality.
- Maintain site documents folder including permits, safety information, and site drawings.
- Maintain site safety equipment such as first aid kits and fire extinguisher.
Qualifications:
- Ability to travel as required
- Comfortable in self-directed environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as zoning and construction drawings, bids, and leases
- Ability to write coherent and succinct status/progress reports
- Proficient in various cell site testing equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Work, Project, Outlook
- Understanding of e-mail and the Internet
- Ability to lift an excess of 30 pounds
Education & Experience:
- Associates degree preferred.
- Thirty-six months plus experience with telecommunications construction.
- A Contractor's License is a plus.
