Overview:
A Construction Supervisor (CS) supports and reports to the General Manager
and manages the Building Department personnel. Their role is to implement
and manage a construction's project scope of work and identify deviations
thereof, and report the execution of project deliverables as they relate
to construction. Their duties include delegating the construction's
scope of work, administering the construction management process, and
regularly interfacing with the client to facilitate the network's deployment.
The four most important duties within the CS job description are schedule,
safety, quality, and availability to the client.

Responsibilities:
- Process Management - Understand and implement the construction scope of work on a project. Identify and understand milestones established in the project Contract and track project milestones for invoicing. Competent computer skills are required and a strong attention to detail ensuring customers receive accurate data and reporting.
- Organizational Management - Identify structure and staffing needs for a project. Implement and coordinate the personnel reporting structure within a project. Interviewing and hiring civil resources to support project needs is required.
- Safety Policy/Program Management - Implement and ensure compliance of X3 Construction Foremen/Leads with the X3 Safety Manual throughout the project. Provide immediate resolutions to safety issues. Frequent spot checks and scheduled monthly training, reviewing safety logs, and reporting all findings to the GM is necessary.
- Site Design Management - Review all primary site selections for construction. Facilitate the conveyance of the Planning Department's design specifications to the Construction Foremen/Leads and their teams. Ensure that sites are being designed per the client's specifications.
- Site Construction Management - Receive field reports and updates from X3 site Construction Foremen/Leads for input into the project tracking system. Update and maintain the construction section of the project tracking system. Attend weekly deployment meetings with the other project disciplines and the client. Update client project manager on field progress as required and notify them of any changes project related that affect an individual site and/or the project.
- Quality Assurance - Ensure that the client's Quality Assurance program and X3's program are implemented and are being carried out in an effective manner. Verify that punch lists are being addressed in a timely manner and reported.
- Client Relations/Interaction - Interact with and report to client. Foster and maintain good client relations. Ensure that client's directions and requirements are being carried out in the field.
- Administrative - Understand and follow a project budget and manage expenses. Review and approve construction personnel payroll and expenses. Provide test equipment training for new hires. Ensure company assets (e.g., construction vehicles, parts, and equipment) are properly managed and inventoried closely.
- Site Completion Management - Ensure the proper documentation and completion of site records. Coordinate and manage site completion to ensure quality and client acceptance. Manage and coordinate the site closeout package process to ensure client delivery and acceptance.
Qualifications:
- Ability to travel as required
- Comfortable in self-directed environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as construction drawings, RFDS', RFPs, and client provided site plans
- Ability to write coherent and succinct updates on deployment progress
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Project, Outlook
- Understanding of e-mail and the Internet
Education & Experience:
- College degree preferred.
- Five years of telecommunications construction experience.
- Project Management certification a plus
- A Contractor's License is a plus.
